@t3rr0rz0n3 The FIRST that headline is misleading for a start, as if the fediverse didn't exist.

@t3rr0rz0n3 Is this the part where we laugh our asses off?

@t3rr0rz0n3 😹 it will be so decentralized they can still close your account for posting wrongthink

@titi ostres.. ”However, Bluesky will be an open platform similar to email, allowing users with various email addresses to contact each other even though they use different email servers" com siguin capaços de explicar el funcionament del fediverse en una app privativa anem fotuts...

@t3rr0rz0n3 >where users would be in charge of the algorithm Clar, si és que ni s’imaginen que pots passar dels algoritmes…

>He explained that platforms without central governance enable users to enjoy a wider public conversation and more content.

>Users can also select the algorithm Guaita que bé, tot són avantatges….

>Bluesky is a sign that Twitter continues to innovate under Dorsey’s guidance. Innovar, diu…

#Fediverse ❤️

@t3rr0rz0n3 >users would be in charge of the algorithm that delivers content
Fuck that, the only reason they have an algorithm to begin with is to keep their users addicted
@thestrongest @t3rr0rz0n3 yeah pretty much; give them the illusion of choice and let them control themselves. Coincidentally, luke released this today:

https://videos.lukesmith.xyz/videos/watch/5e0eeac4-2b38-450c-aad6-eb601087686e

@thestrongest @t3rr0rz0n3 I see it being their version of Discord, where everyone runs their own “server” but it’s really all under their control.

@djsumdog @t3rr0rz0n3 Of course, you need a backdoor to "protect" people from "misinformation". With all the "fake news is violence" stuff jack himself has subscribed to, there's no way it'll be an actual free platform since a free platform would allow "fake news" to spread
@djsumdog @thestrongest @t3rr0rz0n3 I'm surprised it didn't really occur to people when discord was getting big in 2016/17 that centralization = control and censorship

@djsumdog @thestrongest @t3rr0rz0n3

You can self host Matrix
and choose not to Federate

If you want a lower resources and more control option , people could instead use

IRC + XMMP + Mumble

@thestrongest @t3rr0rz0n3 now they want users to do the dopamine manipulation for them lol, also these networks exist log before twitter announced it's new decentralized platform.

Next step, they will make user develop the AI to analyze the dopamine streams
@t3rr0rz0n3 Must be hard to stay in the news without Trump ... but hey, reinvent the wheel Twitter.

@t3rr0rz0n3 My guess is by “decentralized” they mean “totally centralized, but with an illusion of slightly greater user control. But we’ll still manipulate everything.”

No way it’ll fit any definition of decentralized.

@shebang
Easily being truly decentralized but being also the main instance and calling the shots on what moderation looks like, and where the protocol is going.

Also note current data privacy policy on fediverse is appaling. If people have to provide ID (phone number for example) to sign up that's data privacy dystopia already.
@t3rr0rz0n3

@t3rr0rz0n3 yeah but remember, Mastodon and others are a failure because it doesn't generate billions with thin air by exploiting people

@t3rr0rz0n3 Bluesky matarà el fedivers?
"Context matters
There have been previous attempts to build such social media protocols, notably Mastodon, but none have ever seen significant mainstream adoption. Twitter, in contrast, has more than 300 million monthly active users."

@spla @t3rr0rz0n3 Com era allò dels Joc dels trons? HOOOOLD THE DOOORRR hehe

Poca broma!
@t3rr0rz0n3

@t3rr0rz0n3

@t3rr0rz0n3

@spla De can GAB van desembarcar moltes… però no deurien ser milions… I en fi, es van cansar i van marxar ;)

@t3rr0rz0n3

@spla @t3rr0rz0n3

@titi @spla @t3rr0rz0n3 Vaja.
